In crisis right now?
Little Owl isn’t an emergency or crisis service. If you’re thinking about suicide or need urgent help, call or text 988 (Suicide Crisis Helpline) — it’s free, confidential, and available across Canada, 24/7. In an emergency, call 911.
The best way to see if we’re a good fit is to book a free initial consultation — no strings attached.
How virtual sessions work
Little Owl is a fully virtual practice. We meet by secure video or, if you prefer, over the phone — so you can take part from wherever you’re most comfortable. Sessions are 50 minutes, and we’ll find a rhythm that suits you (weekly and every-other-week are both common). I offer a range of times, including some evenings and weekends.
All you need is a private space where you won’t be interrupted, a phone, tablet, or computer, and a reasonably stable internet connection. I currently work with individual adults, age 16 and up, located in BC, AB, SK, MB, NL, YT, NWT, and NU.
Sessions run through Colib, a PIPEDA-compliant video and booking platform. If a video call ever drops, I’ll try to reconnect and then call you on the number you’ve provided.
Payment and cancellation
A valid credit card is required to book, and payment is due at the time of your session. I accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. At this time I’m unable to direct-bill insurance — if you have extended health benefits, it’s worth checking with your provider about whether counselling or hypnotherapy is covered.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are charged the full session fee. If something sudden comes up — illness or a genuine emergency — please get in touch; this can be waived.
